About the LIVE Project

Join us in promoting linguistic diversity and fostering inclusive environments through innovative language learning solutions powered by AI technology.

The LIVE Project – Linguistic Integration for Vibrant Education is a KA153 Erasmus+ initiative dedicated to empowering multilingual individuals and promoting inclusive, language-rich environments. Through non-formal education, youth work, and the innovative use of technology, the project supports learners and educators in recognizing the value of all languages—regardless of when or how they were acquired.

At the heart of the LIVE Project is the iLanguage philosophy, which challenges traditional definitions of “mother tongue” and “foreign language.” Instead, it emphasizes that every language we learn and use is a meaningful part of our identity. Our goal is to foster confidence, inclusion, and belonging through linguistic diversity.

As part of this mission, we are also developing the LIVE App—a digital tool designed to support language learning and identity-building in safe, empowering ways.

The LIVE App – Multilingualism Meets Empowerment

As part of the LIVE Project (Linguistic Integration for Vibrant Education), we’re excited to be developing something truly special: the LIVE App — a digital companion designed to empower language learning and celebrate multilingual identities.

What Makes the LIVE App Unique?
The LIVE App goes beyond grammar drills or language flashcards. Rooted in the iLanguage philosophy, it recognizes that language is not just a skill — it’s a part of who we are. Whether a language is learned at home, in school, or through life experience, it becomes a part of your story.

Still in Development – But Here’s What to Expect:
Tools for self-reflection on your language identity
Content that celebrates linguistic and cultural diversity
AI-supported features to help users learn at their own pace
Support materials for educators and youth workers
Interactive prompts to connect language with real-life experiences

The LIVE App will be officially presented at our LIVE Training in Vienna (June 29 – July 5, 2025). There, participants will get a first look and help shape the app’s final design and features!

Challenges & Goals: LIVE Project SWOT Analysis

At the start of the LIVE Project (Linguistic Integration for Vibrant Education), we took time to reflect deeply on the current state of multilingualism in Austria. Through a SWOT analysis, we explored both the challenges we face and the goals we want to achieve together.

What We Discovered – Key Areas for Growth:
Increase Linguistic Diversity Awareness
Too many young people and communities still don’t fully recognize the value of multilingualism. We want to change that!

Reduce Language Stigmatization
Multilingualism should be empowering—not marginalizing. No language should be seen as “less than.”

Boost Cultural & Multilingual Awareness
By better understanding the coexistence of languages and cultures, we can enrich education and daily life for everyone.

Create Inclusive, Non-Formal Learning Spaces
We’re building learning environments where all languages—and all people—feel welcomed and celebrated.

Engage Youth Workers
Youth workers are key agents of change. Through the LIVE Project, we’re equipping them with tools to support inclusion, multilingualism, and identity-building.
